In the BERND WOLF manufactory in Freiburg/Black Forest, the gold is applied in premium quality using a sophisticated multi-layer electroplating process.

Hämatin zeigt einen metallisch grauen Glanz mit markanter Tiefe. Hämatit ist ein Edelstein mit hohem Eisenanteil. Hämatin ist die rekonstruierte Variante mit der gleichen chemischen Zusammensetzung. Unter hohem Druck und unter hoher Temperatur werden die metallischen Steine gesintert. Die eleganten matten Reflexe machen die Schmuckstücke so einzigartig. Bernd Wolf verarbeitet sowohl natürlichen Hämatit wie auch rekonstruierten Hämatin. Dem Stein wird eine blutstillende Wirkung zugeschrieben. Er soll das Herz stärken sowie Mut und Kraft geben. Soldaten wurde er aus diesen Gründen mit in die Schlacht gegeben.

In a process developed by BERND WOLF over more than 35 years, pure 24-karat gold is applied to 925 sterling silver in more than 50 work steps and multiple layers. The outstanding quality of this process has been confirmed by the Research Institute for Precious Metals in Schwäbisch Gmünd and has been appreciated by our customers and retail partners for decades.

With regular use, BERND WOLF jewelry often remains especially beautiful for many years. Should discoloration occur due to long-term storage or contact with aggressive substances, this can usually be easily removed.

Even after many years, BERND WOLF pieces can be refurbished as part of our lifetime service for a service fee, restoring them to a nearly new condition.

The stones are produced using a special sintering process under high pressure and temperature. This results in consistent quality with a uniform matte color and surface. Color variations are therefore not to be expected. The refined matte reflections give the stone its modern and expressive look. In our collection, you will also find hematine in a polished version with an intense metallic luster.
